Greetings, Falcon families!

  • No Chromebook, no diploma – A reminder that seniors must return their school-issued Chromebooks to the main office or their academy office by Wednesday. Seniors who don't will be able to participate in graduation on June 30 but will not receive a diploma until their device is turned in.
  • Soon-to-be-grads have until 6/30 to save online school files – Attention seniors: Save and transfer copies of important documents in your school Google accounts via Google Takeout. See this video or consult this written guide for step-by-step instructions. After your June 30 graduation, you will not be able to access this information.
  • Seniors get 'sashed' – Albany High School's Cosmetology and Barbering programs sent off seniors with style, gifts and hugs on Friday at a sashing ceremony. The seniors received handmade barbering and cosmetology sashes they will wear at graduation next Sunday, June 30.
  • Class of 2014 grad stars in "Bridgerton" – Alum Lucas Aurielio (who was Lucas Phayre-Gonzalez when he was a star on the stage and soccer field at Albany High) has a role in the latest season of the hit Netflix series “Bridgerton.” He plays a new character in the show’s third season. Check out this News10 story that catches up with him and talks to his teachers and coaches.
  • Food pantry next week – The food pantry behind Citizenship Academy will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Specials next week include frozen chicken wings, condiments, juices, iced green tea, canned vegetables, fresh berries, apples and eggs. Stay tuned for information about summer hours. The pantry is open to Albany High students and their families. 
  • Track stars are All-Stars  The Times Union recognized Devin Finn, Malachi Young, Daaron Harrell, Adam Elia and Rohan Edwards-Grant for their outstanding performances during the spring 2024 season.
  • Falcons flourish on national stage – Four fabulous Falcons returned from track and field nationals in Philadelphia boasting a new personal record!
  • Coach earns prestigious assignment – Congratulations to varsity boys' and girls' swimming coach Rossi Maldonado on her appointment as coach to USA Swimming's National Diversity Select Camp.
  • Regents exam schedule – June Regents will continue through Tuesday. Get a schedule of test times and dates.
