Albany High offers an exciting recurring assembly called Lunch and Learn, featuring presentations by guest speakers designed to help our students explore their interests and discover future career pathways.
The theme of our Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, Jan. 8 was civil service, and we had the privilege of hosting Adam Rossi from the New York State Department of Civil Service Center for Careers in Government as our guest speaker. Mr. Rossi provided valuable insights into the numerous job opportunities available within the State of New York.
Our Falcons who participated learned about various career paths that come with enticing benefits, including competitive salaries, guaranteed raises, paid time off, health insurance, and retirement plans. Additionally, they discovered a paid internship program specifically for college-bound seniors, paving the way for a brighter future.
We encourage all students to take advantage of these opportunities to broaden their horizons and prepare for success in the years to come.
