The Albany High School wrestling team celebrated seniors Zeta Schofield and Luis Carrasquillo-Torres in a special ceremony before the Falcons’ match against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on Wednesday night.
Surrounded by family, friends and fans, each senior walked out with their loved ones to receive a blue rose presented by their coaches. A touching moment included the sharing of a cherished wrestling memory from each student-athlete's time on the team.
Schofield has been part of the wrestling team for two years, while Carrasquillo-Torres has competed for three years. We are grateful for their dedication and wish them success in their post-high school endeavors.
During the match, our Falcons displayed tremendous effort but ultimately lost to the Spartans, 49-17. Three of our student-athletes secured victories in their individual weight classes:
- MarQuez Rouse
- Jayden Moses
- Khadavier Farmer
Join us in cheering on our Falcons at the King Bison Invitation at Shaker on Saturday, Jan. 25, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Let’s go Falcons!
