During the latest installment of our visiting author series, our Falcons had the incredible opportunity to meet with the immensely talented Steve Sheinkin! An award-winning author, Sheinkin's works focus on historical events with fast-paced and engaging story lines, helping make important events of the past come alive for young adult readers.
With the support of the Albany Fund for Education and additional grants, we were able to provide our Falcon readers with over 300 free copies of Sheinkin's books, helping to spread a love of reading and of history!
A huge thank you to Sheinkin for taking the time to meet with our students, and to librarians Alicia Abdul and Kristen Majkut for organizing the event!
