Albany School of Humanities (ASH) is adding a home school coordinator during the current marking period as the City School District of Albany begins to strategically rebuild its staffing and programs.
The position is among 74.2 faculty and staff members the district is adding during the third marking period as it expands in-person opportunities for general education students in grades 7-12 and begins to restore supports for students across all grade levels.
In September, this ASH position was among the 215.6 positions the district reduced when faced with the possibility of a 20% reduction in state aid due to the COVID-19 economic crisis. The district also is planning to rehire additional faculty and staff for the fourth quarter, which begins April 26
