The City School District of Albany Board of Education confirmed the following administrative change for Albany School of Humanities (ASH) on Thursday night.
Assistant principal Janet Escoto-Lavoie is being transferred back to Arbor Hill Elementary School, where she worked prior to last fall’s district-wide staff administrative reassignments caused by anticipated cuts to state aid for the 2020-21 school year.
Glenn Westfall will return as ASH’s assistant principal. He served on the ASH administrative team, alongside Principal Marie Culihan, beginning in July 2019 but was part of a district-wide staffing reduction in September. The district recalled Westfall in April and he was assigned to Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST) where he will continue working until beginning at ASH on July 1.
