On Thursday, the City School District of Albany’s Board of Education appointed Susannah Sheehan to the position of assistant principal at Albany School of Humanities.

She replaces Glenn Westfall, who was named earlier this fall as the City School District of Albany’s new assistant director of health, physical education and athletics and will begin in that role Jan. 27.

Sheehan earned her bachelor’s in childhood education/special education in 2014 and completed a master’s in literacy in 2015, both from The College of Saint Rose. She has worked as a third-grade teacher at ASH since the start of the 2015-16 school year, and in 2021-22 completed an administrative internship at ASH as well.

We wish Sheehan all the best in her new role. The search for a replacement in the classroom is already underway.
