Our self-contained classrooms now have art therapy once a week!
The visiting artist facilitates ad fully immersive hands-on project – this week it was clay!
Check out highlights of Lynn Foley's class enjoying the hands-on lesson led by Kristi Isabella, a child-centered art therapist.
In art therapy, the process of making art rather than the finished piece is the main focus. Throughout the process, the therapist will offer encouragement and direction, assisting children with developmental disabilities in exploring their emotions and thoughts while they produce their artwork
