First graders in Alexandra Avila-Clary’s Dual Language class counted, sorted, spelled and did a bit of tasting on Monday while they made gingerbread houses.
Once the math and spelling were done, students “glued” graham crackers to an empty milk carton with frosting, then adorned their homes with marshmallow, Skittles, Smarties, M & M, jellybean and candy cane decorations.
