Eagle Point Elementary School will remain in distance learning through next Wednesday due to a continued increase in COVID-19 cases within the school community.
Eagle Point has had 12 new COVID-19 cases since last Friday, including seven reported Thursday and Friday. There are an additional 91 individuals required to quarantine as a result of those cases.
Due to these elevated numbers, the City School District of Albany has made the decision for Eagle Point to remain in distance learning to lessen the risk for further transmission. The school is scheduled to return to in-person instruction after the holiday break on Monday, Jan. 3.
Teachers will continue live instruction via Google Classroom next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Please remember that your child should use their district login credentials to access Google Classroom, and that each student will have a new username beginning Monday. You can contact your child’s teacher or our main office if you need help with the new student username.
COVID-19 testing Monday
Eagle Point will conduct COVID-19 testing Monday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. only for asymptomatic students currently in quarantine. Testing is not available if your student has tested positive recently, is experiencing symptoms or is not currently in quarantine.
Pre-registration is required for testing; please use this link to register if you have not done so already.
Meal pickup Dec. 20-22
Meals also will be available for pickup at school Dec. 20-22 from 10-11:30 a.m. daily. Breakfast and lunch for multiple days will be available.
