Eagle Point Elementary School has officially rolled up their sleeves and started digging into the Urban Gardening Project!
The project, in partnership with the The Radix Ecological Sustainability Center and made possible by the Albany Fund For Education (AFE) promotes exploratory and collaborative learning through the use of STEM.
Our raised garden beds serve as an outdoor classroom, led by both Radix and district staff. And, with help from AFE, we are in the early stages of creating a rainwater collection system as a conservation project.
Volunteers from the community and Mariana Farms are also supporting the project.
