NO SCHOOL: Thanksgiving Recess
Kindergarten enjoyed a Thanksgiving preview Monday afternoon!
Dressed in their fall finest, Wanda Carter’s class – and their guests – enjoyed turkey or chicken and all the fixins.
While the visitors ‘oohed’ and ‘aaahhed’ over the sides – which included greens, mac and cheese and beans and rice – the kids’ favorite course were the sweet treats (and there were a lot)!
Mrs. Carter has put on this special feast every year that she’s worked in the district and families head home with lots of leftovers, sight word placemats made by the young scholars and also an adorable thankful project.
