Giffen Memorial Elementary School students shared a year’s worth of smarts with an appreciative audience of family and friends on Wednesday at the Giffen Scholars Showcase.
Giffen Scholars is an after-school enrichment program for students in grades 3-5. Since last fall, this group of 29 academic high-flyers met three times a week for activities led by program coordinator and ELA facilitator Jacquelina Johnson, math facilitator Tiffany Moore and technology facilitator Joseph Lamere.
At Wednesday’s showcase, the students shared their digital portfolio projects with guests, showed off their chess-playing skills and finished with a pizza party.
