No Place for Hate encourages equity

Four students make a presentation about inclusion in a fifth-grade classroom.

In recognition of Spread the Word Day, representatives from the MMS No Place for Hate (NPFH) group spoke with peers in grades 3-5 about the importance of inclusion.

Part of the discussion involved the importance of language and words when describing classmates with intellectual or physical disabilities.

Thank you to NPFH’s Jordan, Le’Ciana, Leo and Isla - and all our students - for working to ensure each-and-every student in our building feels accepted, welcome and that they are a part of our community.
