Three Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School students have been selected to perform in the highly competitive Suburban Scholastic Council Musical Festival.
The students are seventh-grader Gavriela Adler on French horn; eighth-grader Elyse Roepe on trumpet and eighth-grader Zane Sears on trumpet. All will perform in the band.
They are among the top musicians from area schools who will participate in the festival. All were chosen based on teacher recommendations and their high scores on solos they performed at last year’s New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) competition.
The festival will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at Ballston Spa High School, 220 Ballston Ave., Ballston Spa.
Congrats to the students!
