The following is a message from Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School Principal William Rivers:
Our faculty and staff have spent this week moving back to the Myers building (100 Elbel Ct.) in preparation for the return of on-site students on Monday, Nov. 30.
Our Transportation Department worked with CDTA to coordinate the re-routing of our tripper buses from the high school to Myers beginning Nov. 30. Please note that eligibility for transportation was re-calculated based on the distance that each student lives from the location of Myers at 100 Elbel Court. Students living 1.5 miles or more from Myers will be eligible for CDTA transportation using their activated student ID. Some students currently eligible for transportation to our temporary location at Albany High School may not be eligible once we return to our permanent location. First Student will continue to provide transportation for our students requiring specialized transportation when upon our return to Myers.
Please note, the Myers tripper route is #801. Take a moment to go over the 801 route map with your student. You also can visit CDTA's website for more information, including the Trip Planner tool to find the best routes to get where you need to go. If you have questions about the schedule for CDTA tripper buses or regular routes, please contact CDTA at (518) 482-8822. If you have any general busing questions, please contact our Transportation Department at (518) 475-6170.
Thank you in advance for your patience, collaboration and fortitude as we stand together to welcome our students back to Myers. Should you have any questions, as always, please call our main office at (518) 475-6425.
