Brianna Olsen returned to Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School on Monday. She is one of the 11 faculty and staff positions restored to the building in the third marking period as the City School District of Albany begins to strategically rebuild its staff and programming for students in grades 7-12. Twelve additional positions will be added in the fourth quarter to support in-person learning.
In September, Olsen’s position at Myers was one of the 215.6 the district reduced when faced with the possibility of a 20% decrease in state aid due to the COVID-19 economic crisis.

Olsen's career in Albany began in 2012 when she started work as a behavior specialist in the district's Pupil Personnel Services department. She was named assistant principal at Myers in September 2019.
