Valuable community partner returns to Myers

City School District of Albany tree logo.

Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School is excited to re-establish a longstanding collaboration with the Liberty Partnerships Rising Stars Program (LPRSP) through the University at Albany School of Social Welfare.

LPRSP is designed to help youth succeed in school by addressing any difficulties they may face with their academic, social and emotional learning, career goals and family/personal development. The students who benefit most from the program participate in the program year-round, which includes tutoring, mentorship, workshops, lunch groups, field trips, college tours, summer programs and extracurricular activities.

LPRSP has been working diligently with our partner schools to develop programming for our students to assist them in achieving success in the academic and personal lives during these unprecedented times. All services provided by Liberty are free for enrolled students.

At this time, LPRSP is accepting applications for students in grades 7-8. If you would like your child to be considered for this program, please complete this online application.

Please email Assistant Principal Olsen (bolsen@albany.k12.ny.us) with any questions.
