District closed for Independence Day
Assistant Principal Amelia Gallagher will be joining the administrative team at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School on Monday.
The Board of Education appointed Gallagher to this new role at its meeting Thursday night. She will join Principal William Rivers and current assistant principals Teresa Adalian and Brianna Olsen at Myers.
Gallagher comes to Myers from Delaware Community School, where she worked in the same capacity since 2018. She previously supervised special programs for Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) BOCES, after having spent nearly 15 years working in guidance as both a counselor and then director.
Gallagher earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University at Albany, and her administrative certification from The College of Saint Rose.
