Myers students build greenhouses out of milk jugs.

It’s beginning to look a lot like spring at Myers!

On Monday Larry Drew’s fourth period Family and Consumer Sciences class, with help from volunteers with The Vegetable Project, started seedlings.

The eighth graders planted seeds in their miniature greenhouses, made of donated milk jugs, and are making the connection between the field where food is grown and the table where it is served.

The Vegetable Project, led by Bill Stoneman, plans to lead similar projects for approximately 300 district students in five or six of our schools.
