Chemistry is delicious!

Students make ice cream to learn about chemical reactions in Technology class.

What is the end result of an exothermic reaction? At Myers this week it was a sweet treat!

Thanks to the University at Albany, SUNY CSTEP Club, with members who also provide tutoring support to our students, for running a lab in several of our Technology and Science classes on Monday.

The undergrads, enrolled in the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) which aims to prepare students for careers in STEM-related fields, made ice cream with our Junior Falcons.

These pictures are of Melissa Hirt’s seventh graders and Gary Nowik’s students also participated in the lab.
