What's that delicious smell?

Students learn how to make applesauce in FACS class.

As we head into the holiday season, Myers students now know what to pair with their Thanksgiving turkey or Hanukkah latkes!

Larry Drew’s Family and Consumer Science (FACS) students learned how to make applesauce on Thursday, thanks to a two-bushel donation from Indian Ladder Farms.

The eighth-grade lab required students to study the kitchen equipment and ingredients that are needed and then got to the fun part: cutting, boiling, mashing, straining and - of course - sampling the sauce!

Up next on the FACS menu? Apple crisp!
