Senior ELLs visit Grade 8 ELLs

Former Myers students visit with current Myers students to discuss Albany High School.

Rewind Wednesday!

English Language Learners (ELL) from the Myers Class of 2019 - and current Albany High School Class of 2023 - returned to their alma mater to talk to the Myers ELL Class of 2023 about their experiences after middle school.

All are, or were, Kristen Buyce’s (aka “Miss”) students and the soon-to-be graduates gifted their former teacher with flowers and brought snacks for the scholars who now occupy their former desks.

The eighth graders prepared questions for the seniors with topics ranging from academics to driver’s licenses.

There were lots of hugs, laughs and well wishes. There were also a few (proud) tears as the seniors’ former teachers at Myers reminisced and learned all that the young men and women have accomplished since their middle school days - excellent inspiration for the rising ninth graders!
