- Online registration for the ninth annual Albany Booster Club Falcon 5K and Fun Run ends tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 30) at 11 p.m. but race day registration is available starting at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1 in Washington Park. Packet pick up also begins at 8 a.m. and the 5K run/walk takes off at 9:30 a.m. Learn more and sign up.
- If your student is interested in participating in the Myers Ski Club this winter, please plan on attending a virtual meeting on Monday (Oct. 2) from 7-8 p.m. Access the online event via this link.
- Next Friday (Oct. 6) is the annual district-wide emergency drill. All City School District of Albany schools will dismiss 15 minutes early. All after-school activities will be canceled. However, student-athletes will be permitted to return to their athletic venues -- at 3:15 p.m. for modified teams, and 3:45 p.m. for Albany High School teams. More info here.
- The Junior Falcon Health and Wellness program begins on Oct. 12. It provides free family-friendly meals and hygiene products weekly on Thursdays. Students will pick up food during periods 8-9. If interested, please fill out this application to register. The program is also in need of donations - find a list of suggested items here.
- The Community School Advisory Board is seeking interested parents or guardians to join the board. The advisory board makes decisions about programs and services that are brought to Myers, gives input on how funds are spent, receives updates about programs and services and is an opportunity to have your voice and unique perspective heard. The time commitment is every 4th Tuesday of the month from 3:10-4:10 p.m. Please contact Jenn Seguinot, Community School Site Coordinator, at 518-475-6462 or jseguinot@albany.k12.ny.us if interested.
- Spirit Week is Oct. 23-Oct. 27. Check out the schedule and start planning your 'fits!
- The Empire State After School Program, run by the Albany Police Athletic League, is still accepting applications. Please print out this application and return it to the main office. Students can also pick up a physical copy in the main office.
- Please complete your student's annual consent forms as soon as possible! This page provides parents and guardians the opportunity to complete several annual agreements and consent forms online.
- The Vegetable Project, a wonderful hands-on program here at Myers, is selling spring bulbs as a fundraiser. The deadline to order is Oct. 13.
- Does your student-athlete play a JV or varsity sport? If so, please sign up for a concession stand shift in support of the Albany Booster Club!
