- REMINDER: There is no school next week, Feb. 19-23. We will see everyone back here on Monday, Feb. 26. Have a safe and enjoyable Winter Break!
- The City School District of Albany would like to remind families about the Middle School Retention and Promotion Policy. Students who fail three or more classes will not be eligible for summer school and grade 8 students must pass all classes, including non-core, to be eligible to walk at graduation.
- Registration for spring modified (grades 7-8) sports opens this Sunday (Feb. 18). The district offers track and field, lacrosse, boys' tennis, softball, baseball and - new this year - girls' flag football. You must register via FinalForms and female student-athletes in grades 7-8 who want to participate in flag football must be evaluated under the Advanced Placement Process.
- SAVE THE DATE: The PTSA has scheduled this year's Myers Mixer for Saturday, March 23 from 1-3 p.m. The event will be held at 450 N. Pearl St. Stay tuned for more details!
- Thanks to all who made Thursday's Teen Night a success! The crepe station, video game room and - of course - pizza were all hits!
- Congratulations to our 261 Q2 Honor Roll recipients! We had a wonderful ceremony recognizing their success on Friday.
- The organization that supports our community school mission is asking parents/guardians to fill out an online survey in order to determine how to best serve our students and families. The deadline is March 7.
- Registration is now open for New York State's Summer School of the Arts. Students in grades 8-12 are encouraged to apply for the free progam. The deadlines to apply are March 8 (theater) and March 15 (visual arts and media arts).
- Student athletes in grades 7-8 are eligible to participate on the ongoing football and tennis intramurals at Albany High School. A detailed schedule can be found on the Athletics landing page.
