Thanks to all - organizers and attendees - who made yesterday's 2025 Myers Mixer, hosted by the PTSA, a success! The Myers Jazz Band, conducted by Jesse Rawson, performed at the fundraiser as well as Empire State Plaza on Friday - bravo!
The modified spring sports season begins next Tuesday (April 1). The tryout/practice schedule, transportation information and link for registration can be found here.
This week is College and Career Week at Myers! All students will participate in events daily plus 30 eighth graders will tour the University at Albany's campus. 2025 College and Career Week schedule.
There are two upcoming events that might be of interest to Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School parents/guardians. This month's Parent University, hosted at North Albany Middle School, is at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, March 25). The topic is Comprehensive Sexuality Education in New York and the speaker is a representative of Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood. Also, on April 1, Montessori Magnet School is hosting its annual Autism Spectrum Fair beginning at 5:30 p.m. All district families are invited to attend the free event that includes trasnportation.
This Thursday (March 27 from 5:30-7 p.m.) we are hosting a free Financial Literacy and Art Workshop for parents/guardians to learn about assets (cash, savings accounts, investments, real estate) and liability (debts such as credit card balances, student loans, mortgages) while expressing yourself through art!

The City of Albany is accepting applications for the summer youth employment program through March 31. For more information, and to apply, use this link. You must be 14 and available to work July 7-Aug. 8.
