Help keep our kids warm!
The City of Albany and other community partners on Wednesday announced the 2019 Cash for Coats Drive, an initiative to collect money to buy new winter wear for City School District of Albany students who need it.
Here’s how you can help. The deadline for donations is Nov. 1.
Make a donation at one of these upcoming events at the Palace Theatre:
- Oct. 4 – Incubus
- Oct. 5 – The Pretenders Movie Premier
- Oct. 10 – Jerry Seinfeld
- Oct. 16 – 107.7’s Secret Jam
- Oct. 20 – Harry Potter Movie Family Fun Day
- Oct. 25 – Nick Offerman
- Oct. 26 – Kansas

Make checks payable to Cash for Coats/Lodge’s Department Store and send to Cash for Coats, City Hall, Room 402, Albany, NY 12207
Donate in person at any of these places:

- Central Ave Business Improvement District (279 Central Ave.)

Cash for Coats has provided thousands of new coats (along with hats, mittens and gloves) to City School District of Albany children in the dozen years it has existed.
In addition to the mayor’s office, community partners supporting the effort include The Palace Theatre, Lodge’s Department Store, Burke Companies, Albany Police Athletic League, Albany Parking Authority, Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Central Ave Business Improvement District and Downtown Albany Business Improvement District.
