All City School District of Albany students can receive school-required and COVID-19 vaccinations at clinics Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Center will hold at Albany High School this Wednesday and Thursday.
Required school vaccinations are for students from prekindergarten-grade 12. You can find a list of required school vaccinations here. COVID-19 vaccinations are approved for students age 12 and up. All the COVID-19 vaccines will be the two-dose Pfizer vaccines, which the Food and Drug Administration granted full approval of on Aug. 23.
Appointments are preferred, and students age 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent. Please call Whitney Young at (518) 407-0172 and leave a message with your name and phone number. Someone will call you back within 24 hours to schedule an appointment.
The school-required and COVID-19 vaccination clinics at Albany High School began Aug. 4-5 and were held Aug. 11-12 and Aug. 18-19. Upcoming clinics will be held at the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, Aug. 25 – noon-4 p.m.
- Thursday, Aug. 26 – 8 a.m.-noon
Albany High is located at 700 Washington Ave. Enter through the North Main Avenue parking lot and the Tower 2 entrance of the older building. Vaccinations will be held at the School Based Health Clinic in the new building.
Whitney Young also provided district students with COVID-19 vaccines at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School on Aug. 12 and Albany International Center on Aug. 5.
