Model students recognized

Boy and girl pose in school bus prop

The cuties in Wanda Carter’s and Nicole Caruso’s kindergarten classes at New Scotland Elementary School were recognized this week for being November’s model AVID students and for following the 3Bs: BE safe, BE respectful and BE responsible.

Each received a certificate and posed for a photo with the school PBIS bus.

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, a national kindergarten-through-high-school program designed to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in college and beyond.

Students’ efforts were acknowledged through the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Support program – PBIS for short.

Keep up the great work, kiddos!
