The following is an important message from Principal Andrea Piper:

We are almost to the finish line! The information below will provide important details about our upcoming grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony. You and your scholar have worked very hard this school year and it is time to celebrate the accomplishments!

The Moving Up Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m. in our gymnasium. Please have your student arrive by 9 a.m. to prepare for the ceremony.

Families are limited to three guests per scholar. After the ceremony, please join us in the lobby for refreshments and photo opportunities.

We encourage scholars to dress up for the ceremony. Dresses, skirts, slacks, polo shirts and button up shirts are all excellent choices! If your scholar is in need of anything to wear for the ceremony, please let us know so we can support.

Rehearsals for the Moving Up Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 21Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23 from 9-11 a.m. Please be sure to have your scholar in attendance all three days to rehearse.

We will also be hosting a Moving Up Day Party to celebrate your scholar’s accomplishments on Wednesday, June 22 from 12-2:30 p.m., in the gymnasium. Scholars will be able to enjoy food, music, games and more with their friends!

Formal ceremony and Moving Up Day Party invitations will be sent out in the next couple of weeks.

Please reach out to your scholar's guidance counselor if you have any questions about the above information. Questions can also be directed to Julianna Obie, Community School Coordinator at (518) 275-1684.
