- REMINDER: All City School District of Albany schools will hold parent-teacher conferences next Thursday, Feb. 8 and Friday, Feb. 9 and there is no school for students on Friday, Feb. 9. If you haven't scheduled a conference yet, please contact the Main Office at 518.475.6800.
- Save the date! NAMS’ Black History Month celebration is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 29 at 5:30 p.m
- Saturday Academy applications are available in the Main Office. Saturday Academy is held every Saturday (with the exception of Feb. 10, Feb. 17, Feb. 24, March 30 and April 6) from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Breakfast and a snack are served and students can use their CDTA Swiper cards for transportation.
- The Albany Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is seeking nominations for the 2024 HERO Award for Special Education.The award recognizes and celebrates excellence in education by spotlighting teachers, teaching assistants, paraprofessionals, related service providers, social workers, school psychologists, administrators and any others who go above and beyond to support special education students in the City School District of Albany. Nominations are due by Feb. 9.
- REMINDER: The North Albany Jazz Club meets Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Last year, our student musicians chose to use part of the time to prepare for All City and NYSSMA.
- Celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year on Feb. 3 at Albany High School. All are welcome to attend a Lunar New Year Celebration sponsored by the Albany High Chinese Club and the Chinese Community Center. For $1, you can eat traditional dishes, make traditional artwork and take part in traditional games.
- Grades 7-8 are eligible to participate in tennis and football intramurals at Albany High School. For a schedule, or to sign up, head to the Athletics page on the district website. Please note the changes to the tennis schedule.
- The Albany Booster Club is seeking adult volunteers to staff the concession stand during home athletic games at Albany High School. If your student-athlete participates in a district extracurricular activity, please consider signing up.
- NAMS' after-school programming sign ups are ongoing! Any student interested in participating should pick up an application in the main office or register online via this link. A schedule of upcoming offerings can be found here.
- Registration is now open for our Be Well, Wellness Program. If you are interested in joining the program, please fill out this form.
