- Don't forget! Our winter dance is scheduled for this afternoon Friday (Feb. 16) from 3:15-4:30 p.m.
- There is no school next week, Feb. 19-23. We will see everyone back here on Monday, Feb. 26. Have a safe and enjoyable Winter Break!
- Registration for spring modified (grades 7-8) sports opens this Sunday (Feb. 18). The district offers track and field, lacrosse, boys' tennis, softball, baseball and - new this year - girls' flag football. You must register via FinalForms and female student-athletes in grades 7-8 who want to participate in flag football must be evaluated under the Advances Placement Process.
- Please join us for our Black History Month Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 29 from 5:30-7 p.m. We're excited for the variety of speakers who will be joining us!
- Please note that our Science Symposium will be March 14 at 5 p.m.
- We are proud of all our scholars who were recognized during Friday's Perfect Attendance and Honor Roll Ceremony. Keep up the great work!
- The City School District of Albany would like to remind families about the Middle School Retention and Promotion Policy. Students who fail three or more classes will not be eligible for summer school and grade 8 students must pass all classes, including non-core, to be eligible to walk at graduation.
- Applications are now available for the New York State Education Department's 2024 Summer School of the Arts. Students in grades 8-12 are ancouraged to apply by March 8 (theater) and March 15 (visual arts and media arts).
- Saturday Academy applications are available in the Main Office. Saturday Academy is held every Saturday (with the exception of Feb. 10, Feb. 17, Feb. 24, March 30 and April 6) from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Breakfast and a snack are served and students can use their CDTA Swiper cards for transportation.
- REMINDER: The North Albany Jazz Club meets Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Last year, our student musicians chose to use part of the time to prepare for All City and NYSSMA.
- Grades 7-8 are eligible to participate in tennis and football intramurals at Albany High School. For a schedule, or to sign up, head to the Athletics page on the district website.
- NAMS' after-school programming sign ups are ongoing! Any student interested in participating should pick up an application in the main office or register online via this link. A schedule of upcoming offerings can be found here.
- Registration is now open for our Be Well, Wellness Program. If you are interested in joining the program, please fill out this form.
