Forget flash cards, we've got robots!

A student programs a miniature robot in math class.

On Wednesday in sixth-grade math, our students compelled robots to finish a maze, dance and spin like a tornado!

As a creative way to teach basic math facts, Lynette Smith - along with district tech coach Sooyun McCoy - guided students in the lesson that also included color coding.

The students learned to direct their Ozobots to complete a task following color coded squares after the young mathematicians determined if a number was prime or composite.
