Egg-cellent life lesson in FACS

Students create a baby carriage for their egg baby.

Parenting is probably one of the most difficult jobs in the world and our eighth graders are learning that first hand.

In Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), students have been tasked with caring for an egg, with an assigned partner, to learn about the realities of parenting.

On Tuesday Emily Pattison’s classes were given eggs that they had to name, decorate and also build the “baby” a protective and aerated stroller.

Between now and Friday, the egg parents must remember to carry around and not forget – or break – their egg babies.
