Research is sweet at NAMS

A student "excavates" chips from a cookies during a lesson in archaeology.

To kick off Liz Holmes’ early humans unit in social studies, students became archaeologists for the day and learned how to excavate artifacts.

But, instead of antiquities, the sixth graders used a toothpick as their tool to remove and catalog chocolate chips from a chocolate chip cookie.

Who knew history could be so delicious!
