'Twas two days before Thanksgiving and all through the school...

A student shakes cream to make butter.

... the lessons students are learning are extra cool!

We certainly got into the holiday spirit this week - thanks to our creative staff and hard working students!

Lois Gaines' class made homemade butter and then enjoyed it on warm rolls and corn bread.

The students will take their extra home and some even flavored it with spices, for extra fall flavor!

Plus, Agriculture and Family and Consumer Science (FACS) classes teamed up to learn about the geography of Thanksgiving. Emily Statham and Athena Feenan taught the eighth graders about traditional food, and where it comes from, and then combined classes to complete a pie baking lab.

If only all assignments ended with a sweet treat!
