The following message is from North Albany Middle School Principal Andrea Piper:
Dear Families,
We wanted to follow up with you to share additional information about our response Monday to the tragic accident that occurred over the weekend involving two North Albany Middle School students, and to provide additional resources to help you support your students at home.
With support from the district, our teachers and staff shared this information with all students during first period Monday. Our building support staff and Northern Rivers clinicians offered emotional support to any student in need.
We will continue to support our students as they grieve and process.
Grief and trauma can manifest in many ways. If you are worried about your child, please contact us and we can assist in connecting you with resources to support your family. You also can access the Crisis Text Line for free, confidential support.
