News

  • Attention grade 8 families: on Tuesday, Albany High School Principal Jodi Commerford will be coming to speak with our eighth-grade students about courses that will be available to them as Albany High ninth graders. If you missed it, here is the presentation from Albany High's recent Curriculum Night. The information will support students as they prepare to work with their guidance counselors to choose their classes for ninth grade at Albany High School!  
     
  • You're invited! Please join us on Tuesday (Jan. 14) at 3:15 p.m. to celebrate the work of our talented student muralists. The artists will explain their inspiration and process during the reception, which will include light refreshements.
     
  • The NAMS PTA meets next Wednesday (Jan. 15) at 5:30 p.m. If you can't make it in person, please join us virtually. If there is a topic you'd like discussed or a question you'd like answered, please submit it using this online form.
     
  • Communication is the title of a virtual parent and caregiver training on Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 6-7:30 p.m. The session is sponsored by the City School District of Albany Special Education Department and open to all families. It will focus on communication challenges affecting people with autism spectrum disorder and how to support students as their ability to communicate develops. Get a link to the training, which will be held via Zoom and presented by representatives from The Autism Project.
     
  • This month's Parent Univeristy will focus on community violence outside of the school day. It's scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 15 from 7-8 p.m. at Albany High School. Refreshments and child care will be provided.
     
  • If you didn't catch them on Facebook already, make sure to check out our Junior Falcon photo highlights! Before break, Intro to Business classes practiced their problem-solving skills by building a shelter for a Yeti and on Thursday, 30 students attended Siena Kids' Day and took in a Saints vs. Quinnipiac game.
