News

  • NAMS needs your vote!  Our What's So Cool Club explored the future of hydrogen and sustainable innovation at Plug Power and is now in the running to win a video production contest. Use this link to get our Junior Falcons to the top and, please note, you can vote more than once! Voting has been extended though 11:59 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, March 8).
     
  • The modified spring sports season begins April 1 and registration is currently underway. Details, including a link to FinalForms and free physical information, can be found here.
     
  • Don't forget to check out the K-8 art show at Empire State Plaza. It runs through March 23 with an opening reception March 13 at 5:30 p.m. The pieces contributed by NAMS' students are amazing!
     
  • Parents/Guardians: Are you, or someone you know, interested in participating in our Career Day on March 24? If so, please email dsherrod@albany.k12.ny.us.
     
  • We would love for as many of our students as possible to sign up for the FREE Girls in STEM Day on March 29 at HVCC.
     
  • Albany residents aged 14-18 are eligible to participate in the Summer Youth Employment Program. The online application must be completed by March 31.
     
  • ICYMI: NewsChannel 13 was here this week to profile Ryan Naimo in their Top Teacher segment. Stay tuned for the air date!
     
  • Scholarships are still available (first come, first served) for the four-week New York State Summer School of the Arts, which offers visual arts, media arts and theatre arts sessions. The deadline to apply is March 14. Please reach out to Ms. Sweet or Ms. Tolmie if you have questions about the application process.
     
  • Join our team! The City School District of Albany is hiring for a variety of positions. A list of employment  opportunities can be found on the Human Resources page of the district website.
