College and Career Week helps students plan their futures

College and Career Week continued Thursday with a visit from Albany High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) students and staff.

Our middle schoolers received hands-on lessons in cosmetology, barbering, automotive technology, construction technology, culinary arts and health sciences.

The sessions were a great way for our NAMS students to determine if they’re interested in a CTE pathway at Albany High and, also, assist with their post high school plans.

Kudos to Community School Site Coordinator Dave Sherrod for organizing this week's events, which also included:

  • Tour of University at Albany
  • Panel with University at Albany students
  • Q & A with trade Industry and entrepreneurs

Thank you, also, to our supportive community partners.
