Happy Friday, Junior Falcons!

News

  • Congrats to our School Resource Officer, Brian Mascaro! This week he was recognized with the Bridge Builders Award from the ALERT Partnership and Pastor David Traynham.

  • North Albany's first Multi-Cultural Celebration is planned for May 8 (5-7 p.m.). We can't wait to celebrate the rich cultures that make up our school community. Students will be allowed to stay after school for the event but must pick up a permission slip in the Main Office and return it ASAP.

  • Albany High School's Spring Open House - for rising ninth graders - is scheduled for May 29 at 5:30 p.m. The event will introduce incoming students, and their families, to the campus and the wide variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular activities offered at AHS.

  • Update from the PTA:
    • Did you know that our students use the City of Albany's Hackett Park for their recess, P.E. and Field Day? The PTA is organizing a NAMS community clean up at the park across the street, and school grounds, on May 1 from 3:15-4:30 p.m. Please stop by, grab a garbage bag and make our community a little cleaner for our kids to enjoy. All are welcome!
    • Staff Appreciation Day is May 2 at NAMS and we can't wait to celebrate our hard-working faculty and staff. But we need your help! Please consider making a monetary donation or contribute items to help make this important event a success!
    • We are once again asking for donated baked goods and beverages to celebrate our scholars following the Hon-a-Roll ceremony on May 9. Please use this link to sign up to make a donation.
    • NAMS is a place of opportunity and we are hoping to periodically open up our facility to NAMS families. Please complete this survey and let us know what you'd like to do learn or access.
    • Earn money for North Albany Middle School's PTA simply by shopping at Hannaford! The Hannaford Helps Schools program runs through June 7. Shoppers will earn three school dollars for every four participating products purchased. At checkout, customers will receive a printout they can redeem online to donate to NAMS.

  • North Albany Middle School families can receive shelf-stable grocery items every Friday. Please register to participate.  Email dsherrod@albany.k12.ny.us or call 518.475.6800 x29190 with with questions.
