NO SCHOOL FRIDAY: Parent-Teacher Conferences/PD Day
Pine Hills Elementary School was excited to welcome Shakeema Funchess as part of our Black History Month celebrations.
Funchess, a self-published author who uses AI imagery to accompany her writing, read her book The Three Sisters and the Fair Share with third grade on Wednesday. The story explores the important concepts of equality and equity in ways that young people can understand and see examples of in their own lives.
Judging the questions from our inquisitive students, we may have some future authors in our midst!
