BHM 2025: Living History Museum

A student shares his research about a notable Black American.

In recognition of the national theme – African Americans and Labor – for Black History Month this year, grades 3-5 hosted a living history museum for younger students on Wednesday.

Our scholars researched notable Black figures who fought against the exploitation of black people in the workforce and presented their findings, with props and in some instances in costumes, to an audience of peers who were eager to learn about the important contributions of Black Americans, past and present.

And while the school-wide presentations went exceptionally well, we’re VERY excited to invite families this evening (Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 5:30-7 p.m.) to experience this very special living history museum.

Pine Hills Elementary School is committed to learning year-round about African American history and heroes, not just during the month of February.
