"Change Sings" at Roots Academy

A dozen first graders and two Albany FireWolves players pose for a photo

On Tuesday, Albany FireWolves lacrosse players read Amanda Gorman’s “Change Sings” to every prekindergarten, kindergarten and first grade class at Roots Academy at West Hill.

Together, players and students talked about what it means to change something. They also discussed how important teamwork is to success in school and on the lacrosse field, then checked out a video of the FireWolves in action.

The visit was part of the FireWolves’ “Alphie’s Reading Program,” named after Alphie, the team’s wolf mascot.
