Thomas O'Brien Academy of Science and Technology Principal Teresa Brown has announced her plans to retire at the end of the school year in June. She shared the following mesage with the school community.

Dear families:

I am writing to let you know that I have made the decision to retire at the end of the current school year in June. I have made this decision following much personal reflection, and it has not been an easy decision for me. I have been an educator for 36 years, and the time I have spent with you at Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology has been extremely rewarding. I have enjoyed working with our talented faculty and staff to provide you and your children with the best possible learning environment each and every day.

This has been a time of great professional and personal growth for me, and I will sincerely miss the opportunities that it has presented for me. We have made strong progress as a school community over the past four school years, and I am confident that growth will continue thanks to the commitment of our outstanding faculty and staff.

The City School District of Albany will have more information later this school year about the process for identifying our school’s next principal. We will share that information as it is available.

Thank you for all of your support and partnership during my time at TOAST. I am looking forward to continuing our work together over the rest of this school year to keep our positive momentum going! If you have any questions, please contact me anytime at (518) 475-6875 or tbrown@albany.k12.ny.us.
