Six people cut a ribbon in front of playground equipment

There’s lots of new playground equipment for students at Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST)!

On Monday morning, Superintendent Kaweeda Adams and Assistant Superintendent Cecily Wilson, Ed.D. joined Principal Sophia Newell, parents and PTA members to cut the ribbon on a brand-new playground for students in second through fifth grade.

The playground for older students is located on the Delaware Avenue side of the school. In addition, an existing playground behind school has been upgraded for students in prekindergarten-first grade. The space doubled in size and has new equipment.

Students will be able to play in the new spaces once safety inspections are completed this week.
