The front of Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST) – including the main entrance and parking area in front of it – is closed for the rest of the summer as the City of Albany completes roadwork associated with its Beaver Creek Clean River Project.
The entrance near the side parking lot off Delaware Avenue will serve as the official entrance to school during this time. All school visitors should call (518) 475-6875 so someone can escort you into the building. Staff should use the temporary entrance. There will be no access to the front of the school, and no one should enter or exit the front doors except in an emergency.
Anyone needing parking for the building should use the side lot off Delaware Avenue, the lot behind school at the Sunshine Building, or street parking.
At this time, the city’s plan is to have the roadwork completed in time for the start of school in September.
