UAlbany CEHC Makerspace collaboration

Students looking at a thermal imaging drone

A huge thank you to our community partners at the University at Albany’s College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity (CEHC) for spending the day here at TOAST on Friday!

The CEHC Makerspace set up shop in our very own TOAST Makerspace, and college interns helped our students get some hands-on experience with a variety of creative technology, including a thermal imaging drone, a 3D printer (along with 3D printed puzzles!), several different robots and even a good old fashioned button-making station.

You can visit our Facebook page to see some photos from the day, featuring students in Sandy La and Latanya Sumpter’s third-grade classes.
