City School District of Albany
North Albany Ribbon Cutting & Tour
Please join us to celebrate the opening of the newly updated and expanded North Albany Middle School on Friday, Aug. 26 from 5:30-7 p.m.
North Albany will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and building tour that evening to allow students, families, faculty and staff, and community members to check out the transformation of the building into a larger, modern facility on par with Stephen and Harriet Myers and William S. Hackett middle schools. The North Albany project supports the City School District of Albany’s transition to the new feeder enrollment pattern that we will begin phasing in this school year, providing equitable middle school opportunities for all of our students in grades 6-8.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for the school’s new media center, located in the former cafeteria on the second floor. Please use the main entrance on North Pearl Street.
Following the ceremony, guests will have an opportunity to tour the second floor of the academic facility, including several updated classrooms, and a brand new cafeteria and kitchen. You’ll also get a chance to check out the status of the new auditorium, which is scheduled for completion next spring.
We hope you’ll be able to join us!
