Parent-teacher conferences

City School District of Albany schools will offer a variety of opportunities for parent-teacher conferences later this month.

Parent-teacher conferences are an excellent opportunity to check in with teachers on your student’s progress to date. They are a vital part of the home-school partnership that helps all our students succeed!

Thursday, Oct. 24 schedule

Thursday, Oct 24 will be a regular day of school for all students. Schools will schedule conferences after the regular school day ends and into the early evening of Thursday, Oct. 24. Check with your child’s school for information when those conferences will take place. 

Elementary after-school programs will operate on their regular schedule at our schools on Oct. 24. However, all after-school clubs are canceled so that teachers can prepare for and conduct parent-teacher conferences. 

There will be no after-school programs or clubs for middle school and high school students on Oct. 24. There will be no athletic practices. However, athletic competitions will continue as scheduled.

Friday, Oct. 25 schedule 

Schools also will offer parent-teacher conferences the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 25 from noon-2:45 p.m. for elementary students and noon to 3 p.m. for secondary students.

All students will have a full day off Friday to accommodate parent-teacher conference schedules and professional development for district employees. Athletics activities will run on a schedule at the coach’s discretion.
